Also known as the Eye of God or Eye of Sauron, this large planetary nebula sits low in the southern sky from my location. I can only shoot it from a particular spot in my yard for a couple hours per night, so I took full advantage of my narrowband filters this time around.

I am based in Massachusetts, spending my clear nights outside taking pictures of space, and calm days scuba diving in the chilly northern Atlantic.
