Artist's Description
As astrophotographers, we go to great lengths to "keep the night sky still" so we can image nebulas and galaxies. Star trail images are the opposite - we take advantage of the rotation of our planet to create streaks with the stars. When pointing north the sky moves in a roughly circular motion around Polaris.
