Description
The Veil Nebula complex is located near Cygnus which was created by a massive star that went supernova between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. The expanding debris field creates these strange shapes and textures.
This image is a mosaic comprised of two vertical panels side-by-side with each panel shot with a dual narrowband filter to highlight the nebulosity and the stars removed.
